Cards & Candles For All Occasions is managed and run by Laura and Gordon Quick. We are a husband and wife team who specialise in the handcrafting of unique greetings cards, keepsake cards and candles. We started out by making our own greetings cards to send to family and friends as we just couldn't find the sort of thing we were looking for in the shops, so decided that by "doing it ourselves" we would be able to create the perfect card for what we needed as we needed it. This started in August 2006 as Laura designing and handcrafting cards together with her friend Margaret, however soon expanded as friends and family were asking for cards to be made for their own requirements. Laura soon realised that people didn't necessarily want to buy mass produced cards to send loved ones, and often prefer the personal touch of having something created just for them, so within eight weeks of starting Laura and Margaret created this website. A short time later, Gordon returned to a much loved hobby of candlemaking... all of his candles are handcrafted and made to our customers own personal tastes - both colour and fragrance can be selected to suit your individual requirements. We do not go with the stereotypical view that "Lavender candles should be lilac" or that "Vanilla candles should be ivory" - we work on the theory that all candles are available in a wide choice of colours and fragrances which can be matched to whatever you want, so if you want a yellow coloured, blueberry fragranced candle then we will be more than happy to make this for you. The aim of our hand crafted greetings cards, keepsake cards and candles is to provide something for everyone. Something unique and special. Something which isn't necessarily available to buy in the shops.
