Hello, my name is Jean Grogan and I have been creating miniature bears for the past 7 years. My first and only much loved childhood bear went missing during a house move some 20 years ago. Perhaps it was with him in mind that I began making 'old bears'. I find that each one seems to take on an identity of his/her own and I never tire of making them.
Along with my traditional bears, I also make a variety of colourful and wacky miniature teddy bears, rats and elephants
All my bears are hand made using the best quality mohair and
alpaca . I have also recently been using vintage upholstery velvet. They are all fully cotterpin jointed and are weighted with steel shot.
Each bear comes with a sewn in label and are from a smoke free household
I will be away between 27th and 31st January 2010 so unable to send any bears
