I have made this pen pot from earthenware slip. It is cast in a beaker mould I handmade, once it has dried in the mould I take the beaker out and put a few small holes in it to sewn the buttons on. Once the pot is fired, glazed and fired again I finally sew the buttons on. This pot is glazed in a clear matt glaze which has an off white finish and three recycled pink buttons sewn on with clear nylon thread.
The pen pot measures 8.5cm high and is 5.5cm in diameter. The vintage pink flower button is sewn on with clear nylon thread.
