I don't use exotic wood very often, certainly not this sort of size.
It was exchanged with another turner in for some spalted beech
This is a heavy duty platter made from Bubinga. The wood was the end of a plank and has a little bit of the sap wood showing on the rim. It is 10" (260mm) diameter and can be used for any thing that the owner chooses though I think it would be wasted as a chopping board. Finished in a wax polish it would be an ideal centre piece for a table

These products are made from a natural material and no responsibility will be accepted if they are stored in a direst source of heat. Whilst every effort is made to ensure that they are well condiioned before selling the buyer should remember that even old wood will split if subjected to extreme coditions of dryness . Items fothat are used for food should be washed by hand and, if necessery or required wiped over with a vegetable oil after use. Don ot use olive oil as this can go rancid after a period of disuse.
