No sooner is Christmas finished and the decorations packed away for another year than our thoughts turn to the next occasion which is Valentines day on Feb the 14th closely followed by Mothers day on the 22nd of March (UK) ,10th of May if you are from the USA.

I have a number of designs planned for Valentines day and made ranging from the smaller card gifts such as the pretty phone charms to a stunning charm bracelet.

Mothers day offers the chance to indulge your Mum with a piece of jewellery , be it earrings, necklace or a bracelet.

I've had a bit of a making spree, and most of them earrings...some of them are firm favourites that I have remade for misi.

I have also been persuaded by a friend to list the suncatchers that I make,I love these and have them all over my house , I have a rose quartz one in my bedroom ( if you read the listing you'll understand why,lol) and a citrine one in my lounge, plus various heart ones on mirrors etc and in my daughters bedroom.

I have also been experimenting with my photography , using a mirror to photograph on...hopefully they come across on the screen well.

A big thank you to Emma for resizing my banner for me, computer whizz I'm not.

Hopefully over January I will find time to make a few new necklaces especially for my shop and a couple of new charm bracelets

I have some pretty listings to do for Valentines day and Mothers day that will be on mid to late January.

Well I did promise myself some time off from crafting over the Christmas holidays , but I can't keep away from it !!. Hence my new earring listings.. my simple earrings are always a very good seller and I think they are pretty in their simplicity.

I love my fuchsia earrings, these are the 2nd pair I have made in these colours, the first pair sold to a very talented floral artist who although not a jewellery lover fell in love with them.

I have more to list in rust colours , although I may wait till the autumn before listing these ( I know it seems such a long way away but ask yourself how quickly did last year go ? ).

Next week I plan to make and list some new necklaces for my misi shop , fingers crossed my photography skills show at their best.

Me and my gemstones....

I love gemstones !! in all shapes and sizes , they don't even have to be beads ,lol

At the minute I would say my fave gemstone has to be brown goldstone , it looks beautiful and catches the light really well, in fact I made a bracelet to sell in goldstone and fell in love with it so much I can't bear to part with it !

My very talented friend who introduced me to jewellery making many years ago made a beautiful custom order bracelet out of the thumbnail beads I have used in my stretch bracelets ,so I had to have a try with them and I think the results are fab,I will definatly be doing more of these.

I have my last craft fair on the 13th of this month then I can get down to serious business of making and hopefully booking myself on a few courses ....so many to choose from and not enough time or money to do them all , but hopefully it means when I've done a few I start creating all the new ideas I have buzzing round my head.

As this will probably be my last post before Christmas ,( didn't that come round quick again !!) I'd love to wish everybody on misi and everybody who stops by to have a look at all the fanstastic designs misi has.............

Photography Skills

Since posting the flower bookmark yesterday I've had alot of interest but I thought I'd post a photo of the beaded design bookmarks sadly yet again my camera skills have let me down and it doesn't show it to its best.

I need to brush up on my photographt skills

I have added a couple of pairs of earrings, the pearls ones sell very well at this time of the year, I do alot of different gemstone earrings matching the gemstone to the buyers needs.. for example did you know rose quartz is said to help keep you looking young or that citrine is said to be a lucky money stone ?

I will try to add one of my vintage style charm braclets this week , so hard to decide which one .....................

phewwwwwwww..busy,busy week

I've been so busy this week, we had a Christmas craft fair that was excellent,I sold loads and picked up 4 custom orders, I also had an order a family member for 8 bookmarks and then a custom order off a friend for a chocolate ring for her daughter

Now I loved these so much when it was done I decided to make some for my next fair and 1 for here, please do tell me what you think

this week I will try to find time to list one of my bookmark, these have proved so popular for Christmas gifts I can't keep up

I started making jewellery becausemy best friend sells jewellery making kits and gave me a huge one for my birthday one year, I have to admit it sat in a cupboard for many months till I decided to have a go..............that was almost 4 years and many many designs ago
