If blogging was a school subject I'd get a D minus! And probably 'must try harder'.
So here goes with a super human effort.....Been busy getting ready for the winter season. New fleece fabric has arrived so I'm busy in the 'studio' cutting and stitching. Just did a ladies pamper evening event last week which went well. Have another event 31st October ILHP, Snetterton, Norfolk. Also currently involved in an exhibition at Blickling Hall Norfolk for the Norfolk Craft Guild. That one's on til 1st November.
There thats a mini blog. I'll try harder next time Miss!
Oh my goodness! Where did the summer go?
Just been doing some raffia hat teaching. Had a great but exhausting time! Got some more classes lined up for next week.
I run the classes to according to demand. Very informal...no previous experience needed. Hopefully good fun and the students end up making their own hat.
Just listed my new fleece hats onto my website at www.raffique.co.uk as well as my MISI shop
Got some great new pics for my fleece scarves. Really really pleased with them. (Thanks Libby.)

Will be listing more in the next few days.
Will all this wet weather we've had instead of the promised heatwave I dont feel so bad about looking towards autumn!
March is rolling on. Very strange weather at the moment. Sunny one minute and then black as the ace of spades the next!
Been trying to hunt for some Easter bunnies in the Easter egg hunt. Not been looking in the right places yet....
Spent yesterday dyeing raffia. Have a lovely lilac hank trying to dry...weather permitting! Just wish there were enough hours in the day to do all those important things like being creative, listing things on various websites, doing photos, answering emails, not forgetting running a home!
Daughter has gone for a visit to Chester Uni today. She's then got to decide which one. Cant believe she'll be flown the nest in 6 months time. Really making the most of her being here at home.
Cant believe its March already! The frogs are busy doing froggy things, so spring has sprung!
Just been asked to do an exhibition based on the history of hats and hat making. So will have to get busy preparing a few exhibits.
Also got my 1st booking fo 2010 for a WI talk. Getting the hang of doing talks now and only feel sick for about six hours before rather than the entire week!
The last talk I dd was miles and miles away on a VERY snowy night. Was expecting or rather hoping it'd be cancelled due to the weather. But these WI ladies are very sturdy. NOTHING was going to keep them at home that night. Got there late and discovered I'd left half my hats in the hallway at home. Managed to get through the evening with a bit of waffle and padding. Then snow ploughed home!
Taking eldest child to York St John Uni next week for an interview. How did she manage to grow up so quick? Seems like yesturday she was just off to playgroup!
Havent blogged for a while so here goes. Busy working on the 'Hat Talk' that I do for W.I groups. Been having coaching sessions on the old public speaking. Getting there! Just as well I'm not a politician tho! Still feel a gibbering wreck.. Getting into spring mode. Must be round the corner surely! Dying to get going on with raffia hats again. Which reminds me, must do some raffia dyeing. Was thinking of doing a purple and pink range for this year. Child no.2 was at an audition this week for a play with Patrick Stewart. Didnt get the part but got interviewed on local radio. He'll be impossible to live with now!
Well its New Year (almost!) What happened to 2008? I'm sure it was a few months shorter than other years it went so quick.
Busy year ahead. Will start work on new designs, new photos and plan to launch a new web site.
Will be sadly be cutting back on some of the craft fairs in 2009 as they're not proving to be cost effective any more. Shame really as I just love the 'buzz'. Will do a few of the bigger ones but thats it.
Going to stick at the internet selling. Also now on the WI speakers list which is a great (if scary) way to get out there and advertise what I do. Also a good way to get some students for my hat making classes.
Hope everyone has a good New Year and that 2009 will prove all the doom mongerers wrong!
